Local Artist, Margaux Rathbun. Each travel journal cover is lovingly handmade in the Willamette Valley of Oregon using a variety of recyclable, biodegradable materials.
Each journal is bound using natural jute cording, no elastic, tied with a sliding knot. The journal cover is made using burlap that has been treated with a non-toxic finish, giving the journal cover structure yet flexibility. This also helps to prevent the burlap from unraveling. It has raw edges, meaning it is not sewn…it is supposed to be distressed/organic looking.
The journal inserts contain 24 pages (and 2 velum pages, front and back) that can be used for journaling and doodling (not recommended for paint or watercolor).
